they are comforting and at some points discomforting stories. the stories are told from a all-knowing person (as we say in dutch). i go slow on this book because russian is not my native tongue, but every night, after work, i am looking forward to reading the odessa stories.

Memorable and heart-warming.

This has become one of my favorite feel-better series!

This story is full of emotions, from the first chapter, until the last. It will make you cry, laugh, dream, fight, hope, inspired, and most definitely, love. This story will definitely stay with you even after the last chapter.

The characters are so unforgettable and their dialogues are so easy and relatable. The pacing of the story is also conveniently fast and easy.

You won't sell it back

If you really want to get the most out of this book, don't plan on selling it back. The assessments, when done honestly, are the only way to gain context and write the action plans. The concepts are practical and applicable and it even addresses the sometimes unspoken issue of office politics.

Interesting and easy to understand!

If you're buying this as a textbook, you'll be happy to know that it's actually pretty engaging, and it includes a lot of quick self-assessment quizzes that are pretty helpful. The book is also incredibly easy to understand. It does a much better job of teaching basic business communications ideas than the average textbook, and it's formatted in a way that makes it easy for the student to find information quickly.

It's also nice and lightweight, which makes it easy to hold up and read in a chair or in bed; for once, I don't have to hunch over a desk to read a textbook because it's too heavy to read! I normally have to buy a digital version of most textbooks for that reason.

All that being said, I would NOT recommend this book for casual reading. Even though it's interesting, useful, and convenient, it's unreasonably expensive. I would recommend at least buying a used copy, if not a different book, if you're looking at this for fun or self-enrichment. Students, of course, don't get that option!

J.D. Lenzen is the creator of the highly acclaimed YouTube channel Tying It All Together and the producer of over 400 instructional videos. He's been formally recognized by the International Guild of Knot Tyers (IGKT) for his contributions to knotting, and is the originator of fusion knotting--the creation of innovative knots and ties through the merging of different knot elements or knotting techniques. He lives and works in San Francisco, California.

Great designs and high quality in your hands

This book is not only informative and educational, but I was also really blown away at the production quality of the book; the paper is thick and sturdy, but also glossy and lets the photos pop out of from paper. You can tell it's been built to last, and I know I can keep it in my backpack and it'll survive. There's lots of fun designs and the guides are super easy to follow.

Good book.

Some of the pictures and directions don't work together. It seems like the author skipped a couple of steps with the photos with some of the knots. They get hard to follow and leaves the reader to figure it out for themselves. Not all of them, just some of them. I know his books get hi ratings, but I'm hesitant to buy another one.
